Frequently Asked Questions

We are happy to answer any questions you may have and as some of you have never organised an event involving musicians before here are a few guidelines.

- For any new repertoire you choose or ask to be arranged /transcribed ideally ask at least 2 months before the wedding to ensure the arranger or transcriber has enough time to do it and rehearse with the musicians. In busy periods we have had to arrange up to 40 songs in one month so the more in advance you can be the better!

- Sunshine or rain is not good for instruments so there should always be some kind of cover for outdoor playing.

- We can perform songs that you or your guests will sing to on the day - we can also provide a rehearsal recording of the song for no extra charge, that you can rehearse with.

- Musicians usually arrive between 30-60 minutes before the start time, to get their music stands, chairs etc ready. They also need a room to put their instrument cases, bags, change of clothes etc in so please ensure there is one.

- When paying by international transfer we recommend using Transferwise or Paypal - lots of French banks have hidden charges on international transfers and can cost up to 25-30€ extra after all other fees have already been paid.

- Some kind of refreshment is expected so please make sure the caterer know to provide for the musicians too.

-  We can film or record a song that you'd like to see and will only ask 50€ for that service.

-  Nothing gets lost in translation here: our clients are happy to get what they want! This is from a team that has native speakers in English and French.

- We know how France works: legislation, red tape and more exciting yet unavoidable cultural gems. All our musicians are declared under the official French Show License. We get positive results: ask us!

- No “no shows” and in those (rare!) occasions, we have and will handle the pressure: we have a nice 15-year-old network to find and replace musicians so you can count on the best music and stop worrying about the musicians!
